"कॉन्फ़िगर" का उपयोग न करें! वह बस संकलन को तोड़ देगा।

*-devयदि आप किसी लाइब्रेरी के विरुद्ध कुछ संकलन करना चाहते हैं तो आपको पैकेजों को स्थापित करना होगा।

आपके मामले में यह इनमें से एक या अधिक होगा:

$ apt-cache search libnotify dev
libnotify-cil-dev - CLI library for desktop notifications
libnotifymm-dev - C++ binding for libnotify (development files)
libnotify-dev - sends desktop notifications to a notification daemon
